Alastair Macaulay is the new chief dance critic of the New York Times! Balletomanes rejoice. Apollinaire Scherr goes off the deep end.
And I, having no dance shows to review this week after a busy two weeks, rush off for tango class.

Rachel:
I am two thirds through your book "The Lost Night". You are a wonderful writer and it is an amazing story. You are such a good writer you could write about anything and have the attention of the reader.

Dear Helen,
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your reaction. Though this website is dedicated mainly to dance, I am writing about many things these days. I will have a short story in the literary journal ZYZZYVA next month and hope to start getting more of my fiction out into the world soon. I am also still writing in memoir/personal essay form, and I have a few journalistic doings (non-dance related) up my sleeve.
Thanks!
Rachel
